The Asian Surfing Championships is an association acting for the promotion of the sport of surfing in Asia through the organization of competitions. == History of the ASC == The Asian Surfing Championships were created in 2011. They are headquartered in Bali and led by Tim Haines. The ASC promotes the sport of surfing in Asian Countries while helping other countries to establish organized and sanctioned events. The Championship develops the skills of the surfers through competition and drawing attention to each region while advancing surfing locally, regionally and nationally. Traditionally, organized surfing competitions have provided the best means for the development of surfers. Learning discipline through training while competing fairly are vital assets in the sport of surfing. The ASC works with local, national, and multinational event sponsors, maximizing the results of competitive surfing events. This furthers the sport of surfing and provides positive economic, social and environmental benefits to the people of the participating Asian countries.
